Tour of Warwick Castle (Adult)
Product code: FDLWAR
Bursting to the towers with tales of treachery and torture, passion and power and above all fascinating people, times and events, Warwick Castle is so much more than simply a castle. Experience preparations for battle, feel the weight of a sword and get a soldier’s eye view from beneath a battle helmet, see lavishly decorated State Rooms, watch as a household prepares for a Victorian party and discover how electricity was generated over 100 years ago to light up the Castle.
Explore the 60 acres of landscaped grounds and gardens, which include the beautiful Peacock Garden and Conservatory, the Victorian Rose Garden and Pageant Field.
The day ticket will allow you to experience many aspects of Warwick Castle's history including the working mill and engine house which has been at the castle for over 600 years and has been fully restored. There are also two gardens; the Rose Garden whose charm stems from the contrast between the very precise geometry and proportions of the beds and the garden's informal, almost secretive setting, and the Peacock Garden which has the beautifully restored conservatory overlooking its Victorian designed landscape.
On the day, you will get to hear intriguing stories from the castle's 1000 year history. Kids and Adults alike will enjoy the world's largest working Trebuchet (siege machine), which fires twice daily from March to October. There are also a number of special mediaeval events throughout the year including jousting, jesting, minstrels, fighting knights, falconry and archery. Christmas comes to life with Jack Frost, Santa's workshop, Christmas stories and much more.
On purchasing this experience, you will receive a voucher which you will need to take with you to the castle and exchange for your ticket at the ticket booth. You do not need to book your experience, just turn up at the castle, although we recommend that you check opening times before arriving. Please note that this ticket does not include the Castle Tour or Ghosts Alive.
